The workshop focuses on opioid reduction resources for first responders and law enforcement with topics to include pathophysiology of addiction, community paramedicine, survivor stories, OpiRescue and Overdose Information Network (ODIN) training, and trauma informed care. The workshop will close with a Q&A session with speakers.

Through direction from the University of Pittsburgh's Program Evaluation and Research Unit and the Department of Health, a series of regional workshops will inform first responders of best practices for naloxone utilization and use of the OpiRescue mobile application. The Rapid Response Project looks to increase the support and use of the tools and technology available to first responders and foster positive outlooks on the use of naloxone in overdose situations.

Each workshop is four (4) hours in duration and attendees will be eligible to receive four (4) Law Enforcement or EMS Continuing Education Credits.
