DESCRIPTION:The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office\, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)\, will host a free car seat safety checks on Seat Check Saturday as part of Child Passenger Safety Week. \nCertified technicians will be available to help parents and caregivers determine the correct seats for their children and demonstrate how to correctly install and use those seats.  \nParents and caregivers who cannot attend the September 27 seat check event but would still like to have their car seats checked can make an appointment with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office technicians. The capsule contains the winning entries from a countywide competition that asked local students to share what they love about Franklin County with future generations. \nRepresentatives of the Council for the Arts will also be on hand to discuss local artists’ work to create two massive\, two-story murals as part of the Judicial Center’s design.
