Technology Budgeting and Planning

Assistance on the research and development of technology related projects to include estimation of effort hours, hardware and software costs and consultant/vendor costs. 

Technology Solutioning

Develop RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, bid specifications and receiving quotes for technology related purchases and contracts.

Help Desk

Level 1 support for all technology related issues. The submission of trouble tickets into a tracking system to ensure that a timely follow up is executed on issues.  

Desktop Support

Support of all related desktop technology to include but not be limited to: desktop, laptop and other personal computers, printers, scanners, other peripherals, and standard desktop software such as Windows operating system and Office Productivity Suite.  

Application Support Services

Support, development, and configuration of various county applications to include vendor provided Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and in-house developed applications. 

Email and Collaboration Services

Support and configuration of the county email system, Google Apps for Government. This includes Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Apps. 

Server and Storage 

The hosting of applications, databases, and websites on server infrastructure to include standard and virtual compute services with high availability, backup, and disaster recovery. The keeping of files and data on redundant storage.   

Network  and Wireless

Wired and wireless high-speed data connections from various county office locations to the server/database locations and to the Internet.  

Project Management

Provide oversight and guidance using standard Project Management Institute (PMI) based project management methodologies on technology related initiatives. 

Web Site Management

Design, development, administration and upkeep of the main county website, www.franklincountypa.gov.

Telecommunications - Desktop

Maintain voice services (VoIP), voice mail, fax, and video/voice conferencing services throughout the county.  

Telecommunications - Mobile

The administration, support, and management of all mobile devices including tablets, flip phones, smart phones, and associated connection devices such as air cards and mobile hot spots. This also includes the management of the wireless communication contract with the external vendor.
