We are looking for someone who will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. They will also ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff to meet the objectives and goals of the County. This individual is accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems (physical and virtual) that support all server based applications within the County; Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation. Responsibility for all County desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals also fall under the purview of this job function.

Requirements

Bachelor (4-year) degree, or similar certification, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science and/or four to six years system administration experience. Four to Six years’ experience as a Systems Administrator. Any combination of related education and training and/or experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below.
