Franklin County Commissioners Heading To Path Valley For August Evening Meeting
Commissioners
July 23, 2025
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners are pleased to announce the board’s Aug. 21 public meeting will be held at the Fannett-Metal Elementary School.
The Aug. 21 meeting will be the commissioners’ third quarterly “on the road” public board meeting in 2025. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the school located at 14823 Path Valley Road, Willow Hill. Commissioners’ public board meetings are normally held on Wednesdays, but the Fannett-Metal visit will occur on a Thursday due to a scheduling conflict.
In 2024, the commissioners announced plans to host an evening meeting on the third Wednesday of each month with one quarterly meeting to be held at an off-site location, a deviation from the board’s normal weekly 10 a.m. meetings at the county’s Administration Building in Chambersburg. The goal is to offer residents a greater opportunity for public engagement and to make meetings more accessible and convenient for residents who live outside of Chambersburg. Following the success of this change in 2024, the commissioners have continued this schedule in 2025.
The schedule and location for upcoming evening meetings is as follows:
- Aug. 21: Fannett-Metal Elementary School;
- Sept. 17: Franklin County Administration Building;
- Oct. 15: Franklin County Administration Building; and
- Nov. 19: location to be determined
There will not be an evening meeting in December. Additional information on the November off-site meeting will be announced later as details are finalized.
