Trunk or Treat With Franklin County First Responders, Law Enforcement Set For Oct. 28

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Several Franklin County departments, local law enforcement agencies and first responders are joining forces to host a free Halloween celebration for area youth.
The annual Franklin County First Responders and Law Enforcement Trunk or Treat will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at Chambersburg Area Middle School North, 1957 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating this event that aims to create positive connections between families and first responders and law enforcement. Representatives from other county departments will be on hand, including Franklin County Adult Probation, Franklin County Juvenile Probation, Franklin County Jail, Franklin County Department of Emergency Services, Franklin County Coroner’s Office, as well as law enforcement agencies, first responders and other organizations. Costumes are encouraged for this safe, family friendly trick-or-treat event.
Public service agencies interested in participating in this year’s Trunk or Treat should email Gage Yeager at gayeager@franklincountypa.gov.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is accepting candy donations for distribution during the event. All candy must be sealed and in its original packaging. Donations will be accepted at the sheriff’s office, located at 14 N. Main St., Chambersburg, during normal business hours until Oct. 27.
