Franklin County Jail, Franklin Together Coordinate Resource Fair For Inmates
Jail
April 08, 2026
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Jail, in partnership with Franklin Together: The Reentry Coalition, recently hosted its first Resource Day to provide incarcerated individuals with direct access to vital community-based services and support as they prepare to reenter society.
The event brought together 19 community partners that offered inmates information and resources focused on reentry planning, treatment services, employment support, housing assistance and other programs designed to support successful reintegration into the community.
This initiative reflects the Franklin County Jail’s ongoing commitment to reentry as a core part of its mission. On average, between 90-95% of inmates in Pennsylvania return to the communities in which they were incarcerated. Ensuring those individuals have a smooth transition as they reenter society boosts their chances of being successful, productive citizens. It also reduces recidivism rates and makes for more resilient communities.
“We are thankful for the strong partnership with Franklin Together and the participation of our community providers that made this event possible,” said Franklin County Warden Heather Franzoni. “This is just the beginning, and we look forward to continuing to grow this effort in the future.”
The Franklin County Jail and Franklin Together remain committed to expanding opportunities that strengthen individuals, families and the overall Franklin County community. Those efforts include hosting educational events and other activities as part of Reentry Week, happening through April 10.
