Franklin County Adult Probation Honors Staff For Service

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. ─ The Franklin County Adult Probation Department concluded Probation Professionals Appreciation Week July 17 by presenting its annual Probation Officer of the Year and Support Staff Person of the Year awards.
Stacey Parson was named the Franklin County Adult Probation Department’s 2026 Probation Officer of the Year in recognition of her exceptional leadership, professionalism and unwavering commitment to the department, the courts and the community. During her 25 years of service, Parson has become a trusted resource for her expertise in court procedures, sentencing and implementation of Pennsylvania’s probation reform law, Act 44. She has also played a key role in mentoring new officers and supporting the county’s pre-sentence investigation unit, earning the respect of judges, colleagues and community partners alike.

Sharon Weaver was recognized as the department’s 2026 Support Staff Person of the Year for her exceptional dedication, positive attitude and unwavering commitment to supporting both staff and the department’s payment division. Weaver consistently goes above and beyond to ensure wage attachments are completed, patiently assists colleagues and shares her extensive knowledge with professionalism and kindness. Her reliability and willingness to help others have made her an invaluable member of the department.
Franklin County Chief Probation Officer Wilburne stated that both recipients are truly deserving of the recognition they received. He also praised the dedication and perseverance demonstrated by all department staff throughout the year as they work to enhance community safety while promoting offender accountability and rehabilitation.
