Commissioners
November 05, 2026
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners proudly presented the October Employee of the Month award to Dakota Hall during the board’s Nov. 4 public meeting. Hall has been employed by Franklin County since March 2023 and serves as an aging care manager with the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging.
October’s Employee of the Month recipient was determined by the Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Committee, which received 10 nominations for the October award, four of which were for Hall.
“One of the qualities that makes Dakota stand out is her dependability,” said one nomination. “She can be counted on to show up, work hard and follow through with her commitments. Dakota is the only one who runs the Caregiver Support Program. She attends all the intakes and makes sure that all the paperwork is turned in on time, and the families are getting the support and services that they need. She makes time to call everyone back and be that support they need to make sure their loved ones are taken care of.”
Another nomination read, “When Dakota began, our Caregiver Support Program served 37 consumers. Today, that number has grown to nearly 90. This dramatic increase in workload has not only expanded the reach of our services but has also highlighted Dakota’s remarkable ability to manage growth without sacrificing the quality of care. Throughout this expansion, she has consistently maintained high-quality service, careful attention to detail and a strong work ethic that sets a high standard for the entire team. A recent audit further confirmed her strength in documentation, accuracy and organization, demonstrating her reliability even as responsibilities continue to grow.”
“Dakota is also a great team member with the Information and Referral team and is always willing to step in to assist Information and Referral care managers in daily job tasks,” one coworker wrote. “She has a wealth of knowledge of the aging community and continues to grow her knowledge.”
“Dakota’s contributions extend far beyond daily job duties—she helps cultivate a culture of respect, cooperation and shared purpose within the Aging department,” noted one nomination. “For these reasons, I wholeheartedly believe Dakota deserves recognition as Employee of the Month. Her dedication makes a genuine difference, and our team is truly stronger because of her.”
The Franklin County Commissioners congratulated Hall on her recognition and thanked her for her excellent work and for exuding such a high standard of knowledge, leadership and excellence to the employees and residents of Franklin County.
