Franklin County Commissioners Visiting Mercersburg For November Meeting
Commissioners
September 24, 2025
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Commissioners are pleased to announce the board’s Nov. 19 public meeting will be held at the Burgin Center for the Arts on the Mercersburg Academy campus.
The Nov. 19 meeting will be the commissioners’ fourth and final quarterly “on the road” public board meeting in 2025. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Boone Recital Hall in the Burgin Center for the Arts on the Mercersburg Academy campus located at 100 Academy Drive, Mercersburg.
In 2024, the commissioners announced plans to host an evening meeting on the third Wednesday of each month with one quarterly meeting to be held at an off-site location, a deviation from the board’s normal weekly 10 a.m. meetings at the county’s Administration Building in Chambersburg. This change was made to offer residents a greater opportunity for public engagement and to make meetings more accessible and convenient for those who live outside of Chambersburg.
Following the success of this change in 2024, the commissioners continued the schedule in 2025. In addition to the November Mercersburg visit, other off-site locations in 2025 included the municipal offices in Greene and Quincy townships and the Fannett-Metal Elementary School.
The commissioners will hold two more evening meetings in 2025: Oct. 15 at the county’s Administration Building and the Nov. 19 meeting in Mercersburg. There will not be an evening meeting in December.
