Mission

To enrich social, economic and environmental vitality, Franklin County will provide services which are responsive to the health, safety and general welfare needs of county residents. The county government is dedicated to providing these services through the efficient and effective use of the county’s available resources in an honest, open and caring manner.

Values

As part of the county’s mission, vision and values, Franklin County employees collectively strive to the highest quality SERVICE for all county residents. At Franklin County, SERVICE stands for Stewardship, Engagement, Responsiveness, Visibility, Integrity, Continuous Improvement and Employees.

Each year, employees nominate coworkers for SERVICE Value awards based on their performance throughout the previous year. The county’s Division Leaders then vote on the nominations, and recipients are honored each March on Employee Appreciation Day. To see a list of past recipients, click here.
