Franklin County Releases Statement On Potential Threat To County Department

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Earlier today, Franklin County received information regarding a potential threat directed at a specific county department within the county’s Human Services Building at 425 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg. 

At that time, protective measures were taken to ensure members of county staff and the public were safe, thanks to a collaborative response from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Cumberland County’s Sheriff’s Office. 

The area was deemed to be safe, and operations returned to normal. Franklin County believes this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
